The Family Lives Summer Ball 2016

Family Lives Summer Ball Hatfield House

We held our Summer Ball at the historic Hatfield House on 10 June 2016.

We celebrated the vital work we do supporting families as well as highlighting the real experiences of some of the people we support in the beautiful setting of the historic Hatfield House in Hertfordshire. We are proud to say that we raised over £12,000 and thank each and every one of our supporters.

We had an evening of speeches from our Patron and long-running Sun Agony Aunt Deidre Sanders as well as our supporters, the music was provided from the wonderful Lottee Brown and The Buddy Cleverlies. There was dancing in the Banqueting Hall in the Old Palace, which was once the residence of Queen Elizabeth I.

Our auction was very successful, including stays in holiday apartments in Venice, Sicily and Dartmoor. We was very proud to award Margaret Beech, our longest serving volunteer with a Lifetime Service Award for over 37 years of service.

Those who attended the ball said they had a great evening celebrating our work.

All the money raised from ticket sales and activities on the night help to keep our vital services running and support thousands of families across the UK. You can see just one way we support families through the video below about our befriending service.

We need to raise over 4 million each year to provide support to over 1,000,000 families through our helpline and local services, making a real difference to approximately 1,700,000 children.

We will be holding our 2nd Summer Ball next year, so if you would like more information or want to be included on our mailing list, please get in touch with Emily Lee on 020 7553 3097 or email emilyl@familylives.org.uk
