The Family Support Coordinator will be responsible for managing a team of 15 volunteers to provide high quality family support to parents and carers. The project aims to support families to avoid relationship break up and to reduce isolation and conflict within the family as part of the Afghan families’ project in the London Borough of Ealing.

We are looking for our Family Support Coordinator to have the following experience, skills and attributes:
• Extensive experience of recruiting training and supporting volunteers
• Demonstrable experience of supporting families within the context of a helping environment, either face to face or over the phone.
• Experience of working with minority groups
• Experience of delivering workshops and groups.
• Experience of working with professionals
• The ability to listen with empathy
• A high standard of written and verbal communication are essential.
• Commitment to safeguarding vulnerable adults and children
• Commitment to equal opportunities principle and practice are essential.

Please note that experience of working with the Afghan community is not required for the role of Family Support Coordinator.

The salary is £22,937 per annum including London weighting (pro-rata of a full time salary of £28,672 per annum).
