We are seeking to recruit a Senior Family Support Coordinator with strong project management and family support skills to support the development and monitoring of a ‘whole family approach’ project in Ealing.  The project will provide support to families who have at least one child aged 5-10 years old. Families from low socio-economic groups will be supported to cope with the challenges of family life with the ultimate aim of becoming more physically active together.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the recruitment, training, management and ongoing supervision of volunteer befrienders who visit families and offer emotional support. Recruitment of families is a key part of this role, linked to developing relationships with key agencies that support families and identify relevant families to benefit from the project. Data collection is also a key part of this role.

Experience of effective project management including experience of meeting targets and deadlines are essential. The ability to listen with empathy as well as having a high standard of written and verbal communication, report writing and presentation skills are essential. Commitment to safeguarding vulnerable adults and children, as well as commitment to equal opportunities principles and practice are also required.

The post involves working in the community in Ealing with some work from home so a suitable home working environment is essential. Regular travel around the Ealing area will be required.
