Family Lives is very pleased to be supporting Safer Internet Day 2019 celebrated across the world on Tuesday 5 February. The theme for Safer Internet Day 2019 is 'Together for a better internet.'
Safer Internet Day is celebrated globally in February each year to promote the safe and positive use of digital technology for children and young people and inspire a national conversation.
If you're a parent, there are lots of ways you can support your child when using the internet. You can read our guide to the latest social media apps and how old your children should be to use them. If you are worried about bullying on social media, we have lots of advice and tips on this.
Visit the Safer Internet Day website to find out what is happening on 5 February 2019 and for ideas on how you can get involved and for excellent resources from teaching plans, videos and online guides.
Watch the Safter Internet Day video to find out what it's all about and how to get involved.
You can follow Safer Internet Day on Twitter and Facebook and use the #SaferInternetDay2019 hashtag.
Safer Internet Day is a partnership between Childnet International, Internet Watch Foundation and South West Grid for Learning, part-funded by the European Union and part of the Insafe-INHOPE network.
