We know that family life can be complicated and that family breakdown, issues around mental health, poverty and challenging behaviour can all take their toll. The link between mental well-being and bullying is sadly well documented. This is why we are running an anti-bullying campaign with Linda in North Yorkshire.

We all know someone who has experienced bullying in some aspect of their life. We recognise that the impact of bullying can be a very difficult process to overcome.

"Keeps being horrible to me about everything. He was my best friend. I can’t move away because I would have no one as a friend. All my other friends gang up with him against me and I’m always the butt of the joke."

Our Wear Blue Day is in recognition of all those who have suffered from bullying or are experiencing this to come together and stand up to bullying. We are inviting schools and youth organisations across North Yorkshire to take part in an anti-bullying campaign called ‘Wear Blue Day’.

In partnership with the charity Compass BUZZ, who work in schools, we want every school to run ‘Wear Blue’ anti-bullying days. And working with The Two Ridings Community Foundation, we are also encouraging local charities and other organisations who work with young people to be part of the campaign.
