You can make a real difference to a family with a 2-4 year-old child by:

  • Visiting the family in their home twice a week for 30 minutes, taking a new book or toy each week
  • Modelling reading and playing with child and parent to encourage positive parent and child interactions

  • If you are able to speak one or more of the languages spoken in your local community, this will be especially welcomed.

Benefits of volunteering for Family Lives:

  • Satisfaction in making a real and lasting difference to families
  • Ongoing training, personal development and support to enhance future career prospects
  • Being part of an enthusiastic, supportive team
