Family Support Service for Bexley

Family Lives provide an Early Years Family Support Service in Bexley through a range of time limited targeted interventions; we aim to support families with children 0-5 and their siblings up to 11 years so that they can function effectively with support from universal services.

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and co-located within the three Children and Family Centres at St Augustine’s, Danson and West Street, the service works with families who are isolated and/or who need a level of support that is above that normally provided by universal provision in order to engage or re-engage with children and family centres, health, early years’ education and childcare services.

The three main services we deliver are

  • Engagement with children’s centres to access a range of stimulating and developmental activities*
  • A home visiting family support service delivered by trained volunteers
  • Parenting workshops and programmes

Our services are delivered by a team of highly skilled and qualified staff, trained volunteer befrienders and mobile play workers, who will help to engage families into services. Families can be referred to us directly or where there are more complex needs, as part of a wider multi-agency response from a lead professional.  To request support for a family please download, complete and submit the form.
