Anti bullying week 2024

This week marks the start of anti bullying week and we have lots of resources and helpful bullying advice to help you take a stand against bullying.

How your support helps

Your donation, no matter how small, helps us to support people who really need our help with issues such as bullying, mental health, or dealing with many other pressures of everyday family life.

Watch the video below about our befriending services to find out how your money helps us to support families.

Why people come to Family Lives for support

  • Over 50% of adults who rang us last year were struggling with mental ill-health
  • Over half a million families experiencing bullying contact us each year
  • Nearly 20% of calls from families are about children’s aggression towards their parents
  • Over 50% of people who call us are bringing up a child on their own
  • Over 40% of families who call us live below the poverty line, on a combined household income of less than £15,000
  • Over 70% of people who call us say that talking to us has helped them feel more able to cope

What families say about us

"I thought I was at a dead end but thanks to you, I have hope again."

"Before I felt like the worst mother in the world, but finding Family Lives was the best thing that ever happened. I felt really understood for the first time."

"Did you know that your advice can change people’s lives?"

"Thank you. You’ve made my family a happy family. I could always turn to you when nobody else was around."

For every £1 you give to Family Lives:

  • 91p goes directly to delivering family support; online, over the phone, and face-to-face
  • 1p is invested in fundraising to generate future revenue
  • 3p is spent on giving advice on day to day family issues via the media
  • 3p is spent on our policy and campaigns work, so we can champion the needs of families
  • 2p is spent on running and support costs

Help us keep being there by donating now.
