Volunteer Peer Supporter - Parents Matter Wellbeing Service
Family Lives, a national charity providing parenting and family support, is running a new project in the London Borough of Camden to support families during the perinatal period (pregnancy and baby’s first two years) through peer support. If you can spend a few hours of your free time each week building a positive partnership with a parent/ carer/family who is struggling to balance their family life, we really want to hear from you. Often, all people need to solve their problems is a listening ear, some positive support, a boost in confidence and information about other support available for them. You can help families improve their lives, supporting them to create positive environments for themselves and their children.
Benefits of volunteering for Family Lives:
- We provide full training and ongoing support
- Training and development opportunities
- An opportunity to gain new skills
- Meeting new people and making a difference in your community
- We will pay expenses
