Parenting advice videos

Parentchannel.tv is a free video service designed to support and encourage parents and carers of children from ages 0-19, with a collection of over 200 videos addressing day-to-day questions and concerns spanning wellbeing, behaviour and learning. In producing these videos we have engaged experts and parents every step of the way.

All of these videos are available for use on other sites. If you would like parenting videos to be available on your website, just click on the 'share' button in the top right corner of the video to gain the embed code, or get in touch with us if you need any assistance.

All of our parenting advice videos were produced in consultation with subject-matter experts and produced and edited by Tomorrow’s Child, a specialist production company founded by Dr Jacqueline Harding, an international child development expert, author and media speaker with a track record as BBC Education Editor, headteacher and advisor on children’s TV.

Singing with your young child

Singing songs with a baby or young child is a great way to encourage their early communication. It helps the bond between adult and child, supports brain development and also language development as it increases access to key words and sounds. How to use the Parentchannel.tv playlists

Parentchannel.tv videos are divided into three categories - Learning, Wellbeing, and Behaviour. You will find playlists for each of these categories separated into the relevant age groups of 0-5, 5-9, 9-14, and 14-19.

For example, if you're looking for a video on helping your six-year-old with homework, start with Learning 5-9 or, if you're wondering how to encourage your teenager to exercise more, go to Wellbeing 14-19. Once the first video starts playing, click on 'PLAYLIST' in the top left corner to see the other videos in that list.
